COMPAS Ltd. is a private company, registered at the Trade Register on 14 January 1992, having as main activity object "Manufacture of bearings, gears, gear boxes and mechanical transmission elements" - CAEN code 2815.
The company's activity started with designing in the field of machine building - more concrete equipment modernization projects. This was followed by gas installation projects and, in parallel, bearing assembly.
In May 1996 the company acquired a production area, "Mechanical Workshop", and, in later years, some universal manufacturing equipment in order to develop production.
We continued the assembly of bearings and started a new activity, the reprocessing of railway bearings on the permit issued by the Romanian Railway Authority.
In the fourth quarter of 2004 was finalized the project "Development and refurbishment of Mechanical Workshop", for which we have benefited from European funds (Phare). Investment aimed at developing a new production capacity for Tapered sleeves - bearing accessories according to ISO 2982.
In the years to come, we have continued to invest in performence machines that have allowed the growth and diversification of mechanical parts production.
In November 2004, the company has implemented and certified the Quality Management System according to ISO 9001:2000. The Quality Management System has been continuously improved in line with the new requirements of ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 9001:2015 management standards.
During all this time was also carried out the trading activity of bearings, bearing components and accessories.
